This package was designed for the budget traveler, with the best of Waves Costa Rica Hospitality and our amazing surf – Pura Vida program.

First and last days are travel days and are included as camp days. Please try to book your flight arriving on a Sunday and departing on a Saturday (7day packages) CAMP STARTS ON A MONDAY.

Getting there: You have several options:

• Airport taxi: $ 70 one way
• Shuttle: $ 20 one way. Either fantasy tour bus or interbus, they run on schedules, you might have to wait a couple of hours to get picked up at the Airport.
• Public transportation: $6 one way. You will need to take a cab ($ 10) to san Jose and be dropped at the bus station (which happens to be at not a very nice-safe part of San Jose called “la Coca Cola” probably wait a while for the Bus departure since they run on set times.

The accommodations:
At a Basic, nice and clean hotel in Hermosa. Private room, hot water.

Surfing:
Experienced surfers: You will find epic surf just a walking distance away from the Villas. The Tico´s from Waves Costa Rica will guide you once a day to the best breaks around the area, you will have unreal waves to go searching for every day.

For beginners: The first lesson you receive will be on the beach, a theoretical lesson: focusing on SAFETY, correct surfing techniques and ocean awareness. We will also be doing The “pop up” drill. When you have his down and are confident enough you will proceed to enter the water with your instructor always by your side. (we take pride on our surf instruction techniques our instructors are certified instructors and have vast ocean knowledge. We are always “swimming” around you not like most schools in the area that their instructors take their surfboards out and surf while you try to figure it out).

The surf lessons are scheduled around the high tide. They are two hours and includes all equipment (Surfboard, sun shirt, fruit and bottled water after the surf session)

The food:
Indulge on the freshest fruit and seafood, not to mention the incredible typical food. Most people before they travel think they are going to loose weight because maybe they won't like the food, but when they do they can't believe how good, healthy and delicious everything is. The food alone is worth the trip! For breakfast and Dinner, your Waves Tica guide will take you to variety of wonderful restaurants in the Area.

Activities:
It would not be a vacation without some variety or with out getting to know the area. Therefore the ticos at Waves Costa Rica have put together some for you: Waterfall tour, to the 3 pools waterfall one of the most beautiful best kept secrets in the area.
